Coach have teamed up with shoe wear designer and contributing Vogue fashion editor Tabitha Simmons to create an exclusive range of accessories for Summer 2019. Working closely with Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers, Simmons has helped design a range of shoes and handbags for the brand, fusing Simmons’ playful femininity with Coach’s bold, all American attitude.

The unique combination of Simmons’ eccentric and elegant femininity and Vevers interpretation of effortless New York style had proven to be a match made in heaven. With both designers sharing a love of colour and print, playful attitude and a passion for using the finest materials, they have created an array of beautiful, easy to wear pieces to be enjoyed by all.

The collection consists of a number of shoe designs, including Simmons signature mary-jane flats as well as a contemporary twist on the urban hiker boot, both in floral printed velvet. We also see Simmons first ever bag design, a relaxed and easy t0 wear cross body style that can be dressed up and down depending on the occasion – a remodel of Coach’s 1973 Suspender Pouch.

“I was thrilled to design my first handbag – I especially loved going into the Coach archives and seeing the beautiful leathers and timeless shapes from the ’50s and ’60s.” – Tabitha Simmons

Inspired by a Coach dress in Simmons personal wardrobe, the prints for the collection came from the brands Spring 2016 collection, it’s first show to walk the runway.

“Working with Tabitha felt natural – She already has Coach in her closet. it’s actually a cute story: I bumped into her one day at the Greenwich Hotel, and she happened to be wearing a floral print dress from the Spring 2016 collection. We knew it had to be the starting point for our collaboration.” – Stuart Vevers

The collection is now available in stores and online.
