Aarke’s New Coffee Press
The Swedish brand Aarke has steadily expanded its presence in the coffee category, building a collection that prioritises material quality, longevity and visual coherence. Its latest addition, a stainless steel French press, fits squarely within that framework—less a reinvention of the brewing method than a considered refinement of an established classic.
Designed as part of Aarke’s broader coffee offering, the French press mirrors the brand’s existing language: polished metal surfaces, cylindrical forms and an emphasis on durability. Constructed entirely from double-walled stainless steel, it replaces the fragility of glass with a structure that retains heat more effectively and withstands everyday use. The insulation keeps coffee warm for extended periods while remaining cool to the touch, a functional detail that also reinforces the press’s clean, uninterrupted exterior.

The filter system is equally restrained. Made from fine stainless steel mesh, it allows natural coffee oils to pass through, producing a fuller-bodied brew while avoiding sediment. All components disassemble without tools and are dishwasher safe, reflecting Aarke’s focus on practicality alongside aesthetics.
What distinguishes this French press is its relationship to the rest of the collection. Aarke’s coffee maker, introduced earlier, positioned the brand within the automated brewing space with a single-button approach and a sculptural stainless steel body. The French press introduces a more manual counterpart—slower, quieter, and tactile—without disrupting the visual consistency of the lineup. Together, the pieces suggest a system rather than a series of isolated products.
From a design perspective, the press is intentionally neutral. Branding is minimal, surfaces are uninterrupted, and the proportions are balanced to sit comfortably on open shelving or a countertop without demanding attention. It is an object designed to integrate rather than stand apart, aligning with interiors where appliances are expected to perform visually as well as functionally.

Rather than chasing innovation for its own sake, Aarke’s French press reinforces the brand’s broader approach: improving familiar objects through material upgrades, refined engineering and visual restraint. As an addition to the coffee collection, it extends Aarke’s design logic into slower brewing rituals, offering an alternative that values consistency, longevity and form as much as the cup itself.
