CIEL: Maya Magal X Rachel Bakewell

Jewellery designer Maya Magal has teamed up with stylist and Unpolished Fashion Editor Rachel Bakewell to design an exclusive new capsule collection of jewels named Ciel. 

Having previously collaborated in 2018 to create the best selling Rachel Ring, Maya and Rachel were keen to join forces again and develop a range based upon the success of their previous design. The Ciel collection, which draws inspiration from the moon and Rachel’s fascination with its infinite power and beauty, focuses on the use of precious moon stones, white topaz and crescent motifs. The focus on the moon and femininity was particularly important to Rachel, and emphasises how  we are now embracing femininity as representing strength.

The collection consists of a mix of earrings, necklaces and stacking rings as well as a stunning crescent moon shaped hair clip which marks a new venture into hair accessories for the brand.

Expanding upon the design of the Rachel Ring the range features a selection of rings that can be stacked and layered together. Similarly, the Rachel Ring has been cleverly reinterpreted as a necklace and which can also be layered with the beautiful new coin necklaces.

The collection has already been a huge hit, having been worn by Pixie Geldof, Flo Morrisey , Laura Bailey and Greta Bellamacina.

Maya and Rachel hosted a special launch event at the new Coal Drops Yard store where guests were invited to view, try and purchase pieces from the collection whilst enjoying cocktails and a performance from enchanting singer Sophie Harris and a poetry reading from the face of the campaign Greta Bellamacina.

The collection is now available to purchase in store and online.
